Maura Higgins BILLS Scott Henshall over £12K for ‘loss of earnings’

Maura Higgins has billed Scott Henshall over £12,000 for ‘loss of earnings’ after she refused to wear the designer’s ‘inappropriate’ dress to the British Fashion Awards.

The unlikely feud erupted earlier this month when former Love Island star Maura, 32, pulled out of the A-list event over complaints the design Scott, 47, created for her was too risqué.

MailOnline can now reveal that Maura has charged Scott, who’s dressed the likes of Jodie Kidd, Kelly Holmes, and Lady Victoria Hervey, a whopping £12,810.72 for ‘loss of earnings’, with the fee also including a hefty £675.60 hairstyling bill despite Maura using her own ‘glam squad’ for the night.

‘Complete disaster’: Maura Higgins has billed Scott Henshall over £12,000 for ‘loss of earnings’ after she refused to wear the designer’s ‘inappropriate’ dress to the British Fashion Awards

A source said: ‘Maura is attempting to charge Scott over £12,000 for loss of earnings after she skipped the British Fashion Awards.

‘It’s turned into a complete disaster. Scott’s PR team arranged for him to dress Maura and he agreed to pay for her ticket to the ceremony after seeing a pretty picture of her.

‘But now his generosity has totally backfired and she’s even trying to charge him for hairstyling when she insisted on having her own glam squad on the day.’

MailOnline has approached Maura’s representative for comment.

After telling her 3.6million Instagram followers that renowned designer Scott had created a bespoke outfit for her to wear at the Fashion Awards, Maura refused to attend the high-profile event, saying his design was ‘not very appropriate’ and she felt it wasn’t in tone with the ceremony.

While wearing the metallic dress, which exposed her cleavage, Maura said: ‘So, guys everyone is messaging me saying where are you and where are the red-carpet pictures?

‘I’ve had a bit of a nightmare. So, obviously as you can see, I am fully ready. Glam team are on point as usual. Basically, the dress, shoes, everything, just wasn’t something that I’d probably wear.

‘I just feel like it’s not very appropriate for the Fashion Awards and obviously I do like to go daring you guys know that, but I just feel it’s not right.’

Sources close to Maura claimed that Scott’s outfit didn’t fit the brief and she was ‘disappointed’ after asking for her outfit to resemble Paris Hilton’s 2002 chainmail dress.

Her camp alleged that the designer failed to arrange the right shoes for her to wear and he wasn’t on hand to assist on the night, favouring Lady Victoria Harvey, who he also dressed for the evening, instead.

The prestigious Fashion Awards are held at London’s Royal Albert Hall and were attended this year by the likes of Rita Ora, Florence Pugh, and Winnie Harlow.

It was the first time Maura, who rose to fame on Love Island in 2019, had been invited to the glamorous event, which is one of the biggest in the fashion calendar.
