Mauricio Pochettino intervenes to stop an insulting fan clash with Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson following Brentford defeat

Mauricio Pochettino was forced to intervene with an insulting Chelsea fan who clashed with striker Nicolas Jackson following a disappointing defeat for the Blues.

The Senegalese striker reportedly shushed a fan who was giving him abuse when the sides went in at 0-0 at half-time. 

Several match reporters said on X that the fan said to Jackson: ‘Why don’t you score a goal?’

The 22-year-old then shushed the individual, which prompted anger. That is when Pochettino leapt to his player’s defence and told the supporter to sit down. 

The former Tottenham manager has the pressure heaped on his side after a shocking loss to Brentford.
