A young bricklayer was enjoying a night out with his mates when a fight broke out and he ended up dead.
Max Summerfield died in hospital after being hit by a car outside a service station in Blacktown, western Sydney, on Friday night.
The fight between the 21-year-old and a friend had spilled onto busy Sunnyholt Road, where he was run over by a passing car.

Police have arrested and charged a 25-year-old man with affray over the incident.
Service station employee Robin Sandhu saw the fight take place, The Daily Telegraph reported.
‘I saw a couple of them fighting with each other, I thought they were having fun because they were friends,’ he said.
After being hit by the car – driven by a 65-year-old man – Mr Summerfield was taken to Westmead Hospital where he passed away on Monday.

Mr Summerfield’s friends took to social media to mourn his passing, leaving messages of love and support.
‘Cannot f***ing believe this. What was a night with harmless intentions turned into your last,’ wrote one devastated friend.
‘RIP Max you were such a good bloke definitely going to miss you bro,’ wrote another.

The 25-year-old is due to appear in Blacktown Local Court on August 31. He has been granted conditional bail.
The driver underwent mandatory tests in hospital and has been offered counselling.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, including drivers with dash cams in their cars, to call Blacktown Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
