Maya Jama’s grandmother cheekily told her over Facetime that the star needs to ‘eat more’ and that she ‘looks like an old lady’.
The TV personality, 29, shared an adorable snap of her having a catch up over a video chat with her grandmother.
She showed off her pearly white smile as she grinned from cheek to cheek in a white T-shirt.
Her grandmother, or as Maya calls her ‘Ayeyo’ (Somalian for nan), looked was pictured playfully grinning at her savage comments towards the star.
The snap was captioned: ‘Love my nan/Ayeyo. Most wholesome yet no filter. She told me I need to eat more an I look like an old lady and was being dead serious.’

The Love Island presenter shared the screenshot on her Instagram Stories to her 3million followers.
Maya rarely keeps her fans updated about her nana as she only revealed to her following in 2021 that her grandmother immigrated from Somalia.
Sharing a black and white family photo with her nan at the end, Maya reveals that she thinks her family may have been the first Somalian immigrants in Bristol.
She wrote alongside the throwback snap: ‘Had to wheel this one up. Proper look like my Nan.’
She also shared a snippet of their immigration story from Somalia alongside the picture.
Maya wrote: ‘Real g’s immigrated from Somalia and built a life for themselves, started working started a family, bought a house.
‘Pretty sure they were one of the first Somali families in Bristol.’
The snap comes after her rekindled lover Stormzy revealed that he is ready to propose to Maya.
