McDonald’s has announced its delicious new summer menu launching on Wednesday with the return of a highly-requested burger.

In addition to the return of the El Maco Beef burger and Cheesy Jalapeño Pops, Macca’s will also be debuting two new summer taste sensations: the Cajun Chicken Deluxe and the Cadbury Caramilk Hokey Pokey McFlurry.

Featuring one of Macca’s most requested sauces the Cajun Chicken Deluxe features 100 per cent Aussie, RSPCA approved crispy chicken fillet, tangy Cajun sauce, Macca’s cheese, fresh tomato and crispy lettuce – served on a sesame seed bun.

Meanwhile the dessert sensation – the Cadbury Caramilk Hokey Pokey – features Macca’s iconic, creamy soft serve mixed with flakes of Cadbury Caramilk chocolate, golden Hokey Pokey pieces and Caramilk sauce.

The iconic flavour combinations will be available across Macca’s restaurants nationwide and via McDelivery from November 30, for a limited time only.

‘Summer is about bringing people together and what better way to do that than by bringing together some of our most iconic menu and flavour combos?’ Marketing Director for McDonald’s Australia Tim Kenward said.

‘We invite Aussies to kick off summer with an El Maco, Cajun Chicken Deluxe or the Cheesy Jalapeño Pops, then top it off with the McFlurry with Cadbury Caramilk Hokey Pokey.

‘Whatever your summer plans are, we’ve got you covered, because nothing quite goes together like the great Aussie summer and Macca’s.’

The El Maco Beef is making its long-awaited return after requests started flooding in following its disappearance from menus in 2020.

The Cheesy Jalapeño Pops with El Maco sauce are delicious bite-sized pops that are crispy on the outside with an oozy melting cheddar cheese and crunchy jalapeño filling.

The perfect combination of cheesy and spicy, served with tangy El Maco sauce.

There have been mixed reviews for the new McFlurry flavour so far, with some saying they’ll be jumping on board immediately and others arguing the ice cream will ‘dull’ the Caramilk flavour.
