‘So … it’s pretty much just an iced caramel latte but they just add whipped cream and charge you extra for it! A scam,’ commented an angry customer.

Similar dissatisfied sentiments were echoed throughout.

‘Don’t lie … y’all never mix the drink,’ a woman commented.

‘I got ripped off … I never got chocolate on top,’ said another.

‘Iced coffee frappes are sooo much better! I got one of these and was so disappointed.’

However, an equal amount of enthusiasm was shown in favour for the sweet drink.

‘When I get my P’s, I’m coming to the drive-through every single day,’ a man commented.

Another was willing to commit to it: ‘This is it, this is my new signature drink’.

But this is not the first time McDonald’s employees have taken to social media to wow customers.

An ex McDonald’s worker revealed three secrets she learned from her years working at the restaurant – including the items you can get for free.

Batoul, who runs a page featuring the halal food of Sydney, worked for the restaurant when she was a teenager.

In her viral TikTok video the young woman said you can always get a ‘tub of pickles’ for free from the fast food giant.

‘We used to have pregnant women coming through for them all the time,’ she said while eating a McDonald’s meal.

The young woman also revealed human error was typically behind the soft-serve machine ‘break downs’.

‘It is usually because someone put shake mix in the ice cream side,’ she said.

And admitted some staff may serve full cream milk instead of skim milk through drive through, hoping customers won’t notice.

Her revelations caused a stir among her followers, especially the pickle lovers.

‘So instead of asking for extra pickles and getting two I should just ask for a cup? Awesome, thankyou!’ one woman said.

‘You really shouldn’t have told me about the free pickles, I’m on my way now,’ one woman laughed.

Other former workers agreed with her, especially with the ice cream machine.

‘If it wasn’t shake mix in the ice cream side then someone accidentally put it on to clean in the middle of service,’ one woman said.

‘Half the time on overnights I would say the machine wasn’t working because I didn’t want to get it dirty again,’ one former staff member said.

The popular video has been seen more than 650,000 times.
