As temperatures soar above 40C in one of the hottest Decembers on record, one fast food chain is going to make beating the heat a little easier.
On Monday morning, McDonald’s launched its Australia-wide frozen coke buy-one-get-one-free giveaway – hopefully providing some reprieve from the heat.
There’s a small catch – customers will have to buy a large frozen coke for $1, scan the Snapcode on the cup and show the photo to a crew member to redeem the icy refreshment.

So from now until March, every time you buy a large frozen coke from McDonalds, your next one could be free.
Each Snapcode includes a redeem-by date, and the deal is available both in-store and at the drive thru, and it will run until the end of summer.
