They’ve not been able to play a live gig in 18 months after the coronavirus pandemic cancelled shows.
And McFly ensured to dazzle the crowd as they finally were able to take to the stage again at CarFest in Tattenhall, Cheshire, on Sunday.
The band – Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd – wowed the audience by performing some of their most popular hits including All About You.

Lead singer Tom put on a very animated display as he played his guitar and belted out the band’s catchy tunes.
He cut a very fashionable figure for the momentous occasion, rocking a white polo shirt and black trousers with white socks.
Making up for lost time, McFly played two sets at the festival and also took to the stage on Saturday night.
For this show, Tom donned a black and white shirt and his wide-rimmed glasses.

Ahead of the gig, the band also took to Twitter to express their excitement to be finally back on stage.
The official MCFly page captioned a pic of the band: ‘York, we have arrived. First show in 18 months, let’s go!’
And another post after the gig said: ‘It feels so good to be back. What an amazing weekend! Thank you to everyone who came.’
McFly formed in 2003 and in 2019 the band announced a new album of previously unreleased material and a concert at the O2 Arena followed by a 2020 come-back arena tour.

However the Covid-19 pandemic put a halt on their comeback plans.
Rock band Happy Mondays also performed at the fundraising event and rocked the stage.
The band formed in Salford in 1980 and the original line-up was Shaun Ryder on vocals, his brother Paul Ryder on bass, Mark Day on guitar, Paul Davis on keyboard, and Gary Whelan on drums.
Mark ‘Bez’ Berry later joined the band onstage as a dancer/percussionist.

They disbanded in 1993, and have reformed several times in subsequent decades.
And the band appeared to be in great spirits during Sunday’s show, with them even shaking some maracas for one of their numbers.
Elsewhere at the weekend event, Take That’s Howard Donald also showed off his skills on the decks and played a DJ set.
The star beamed a smile as he entertained the audience, donning a dapper flat cap and white T-shirt for the gig.
Singer Mark Sinclair also provided some musical entertainment and belted out some of his hit songs during the night.

Another star who enjoyed the festival was Chris Evans. On Friday night he was seen dancing with his wife, however was spotted solo on Sunday.
The radio presenter looked ecstatic as he threw his arms up in the air and showed off his colourful shirt.
CarFest is celebrating its 10th Birthday this year, the fundraising event was created by radio host Chris Evans.

The family festival raised over £16.5 million to date and across the weekend artists and bands took to the main stage.
Acts including All Saints, Basement Jaxx DJ Set and Tom Grennan all impressed the audience and brought the stage alive.
Also gracing the main stage at CarFest South is Rick Astley, James Blunt and The Magic Numbers .
