An urgent search has been launched to find a mother and her six-month-old baby after the pair disappeared almost 48 hours ago.
Miriam Atukunzire, 37, and her baby boy were last seen at a property on Armstrong Road at Meadowbrook in Logan Reserve, south of Brisbane, at about 11am on Friday.
Ms Atukunzire made contact with family members about an hour later but has not been seen or heard from since.
NSW Police and Ms Atukunzire’s family hold concerns for the pair’s welfare as the disappearance is ‘out of character’.
Ms Atukunzire is described as African in appearance, about 160cm tall, with dark hair and brown eyes.
She was last seen wearing a black and white striped dress and a black trench coat.
Police are appealing for Ms Atukunzire or anyone with further information to contact police.
