The team behind the Broadway musical version of Mean Girls released a video ‘first look’ of the show on Monday.
The 1 minute and 24 second clip posted to YouTube gives a taste of the songs, dancing and characters in the musical created by Tina Fey and her husband, composer Jeff Richmond.
Based on the hit Hollywood movie, for which Fey wrote the screenplay, it stars Taylor Louderman as blonde cheerleader Regina and Erika Henningsen as transfer student Cady.

Fey told the Associated Press that she believes Mean Girls is even more relevant today than it was when it debuted on the big screen 14 years ago.
‘When the movie was written, it was about relational aggression among girls. And now, everyone does that. The government does it. People are unkind. They don’t respect each other’s basic human dignity, and so social media is such a disease, right?’ Fey said.
‘So it feels like it’s an even more-timely reminder now that we all need to just kind of take a breath before we hurt each other,’ she said.
Success: Fey took a curtain call at opening night alongside husband Jeff, left, Kate Rockwell and Taylor Louderman
