Both Meek Mill and Roc Nation are being sued by the family of a man who was shot and killed in the parking lot of a theater.
The family of Jaquan Graves is suing the rapper and Jay’s Z’s record company for ‘allowing thugs to remain on the premises’ of the Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, Connecticut, according to TMZ.
Graves’ family added that the ‘thugs’ allowed there were ‘argumentative, angry, disorderly and disruptive’ to fellow concertgoers.

A second person was shot and killed that same night, and they also filed a lawsuit against Nicki Minaj’s former love, TMZ reported.
The incident occurred on December 31.
The lawsuit says that Graves left the theater when the shots were first heard, and he was hit by a bullet and killed.
The victims – both male – died upon arriving to the hospital and two others were taken with non-life threatening injuries.

Meek Mill, 30, is currently in a Pennsylvania prison after he was sentenced to two to four years for violating probation, according to People.
He was admitted into the Pennsylvania State Correctional Institution on November 8.
In 2008, he was convicted of gun possession and drug dealing; he violated his parole after he was arrested twice in 2017.

Jay Z, who founded Roc Nation, recently penned a New York Times Op-Ed about Meek and his imprisonment.
He wrote: ‘We will always stand by and support Meek Mill, both as he attempts to right this wrongful sentence and then in returning to his musical career.’
Reverend Al Sharpton is also trying to help Meek Mill; he told TMZ: ‘Just because someone does something that is wrong, does not give you the right to do wrong to them.’
Adding: ‘The sentence must fit the violation.’
