A young woman who used to ‘do back flips around the house’ before falling in love with pole dancing has made her ‘big time debut’ landing a gig with Snoop Dog.
Tamika Wardell, 22, took to the stage with the internationally acclaimed rapper on Thursday to showcase her hard-learned acrobatic ability.
Days before ‘the big gig’ the young woman was still pinching herself.
‘I will be pole dancing on stage with the man himself,’ she said.
The young woman formed part of the entertainment for Snoop Dog’s ‘I want to thank me’ tour, taking to stage for the star’s ‘sold out’ Sydney show.
Tamika said being able to dance with the star was a ‘crazy’ experience, and one of the biggest moments of her life so far.

After the exhilarating gig she told her mother Natalie that the rapper was ‘super chilled out’ and made the effort to meet all of the dancers before the show.
Natalie, who admitted she was thrilled for her daughter, took the opportunity to boast about her achievements.
‘Since she was a baby she would be walking around the house doing flips the splits walking around on her hands not legs, so I knew we had to put her in gymnastics,’ she said alongside a picture of her daughter with Snoop Dog.
‘She used to compete around the state than got to old to do acro so decided to try pole dancing to further her skills.’
She also slammed those who refuse to count pole dancing as a sport.

‘Some may think it’s trashy, but I’m here to tell you pole dancing you need skill, you need to be flexible strong and confident! It’s not just for strippers,’ the proud mum said.
She admitted Tamika had tried to teach her a few moves, but it was much harder than it looked.
‘I tried pole and fell on my ass I am not flexible I’m not strong or confident, so I’m so glad my daughters all grew up to be talented little ladies,’ the proud mum said.
Tamika was one of four pole dancers on the stage for the Sydney show.
Tamika last made headlines when she was just 19 alongside her mother Natalie and her sister Jazmyne.

Natalie is often mistaken as her daughters’ sister, instead of their mum, especially when they get dolled up for the annual Summernats festival in Canberra.
While many daughters are embarrassed to hang out with their mum once they reach their teenage years, these girls continue to enjoy Natalie’s company, despite the constant comments about their similarities.
‘People ask if we’re sisters all the time, and some even think Jazmyne is my mum because she’s so tall and I’m so short,’ Natalie said, following the Summernats event.
