Meet the blonde FIFO worker from Perth who is ready to find love on Farmer Wants A Wife: Demi De Lange says she’s ready to move across the country for farmer Sam

Gorgeous blonde Demi De Lange is a new contestant vying for the love of farmer Sam Messina, 25, on the upcoming season of Farmer Wants a Wife.

Demi, 26, is a FIFO (fly-in fly-out) worker from Perth and says she will be ready to move across the country to be married to a genuine true blue Australian farmer. Sam lives on a farm in NSW.

The former bikini model will appear on the 2021 season of Farmer Wants A Wife, which premieres next Sunday.

‘My family grew up on farms, and they still farm right now, that’s the lifestyle I want to live,’ she told The West Australian this week.

She added: ‘I would definitely move over east (to be with farmer Sam), because I’ve done it before for an ex.’

De Lange came to Australia with her family when she was 16 from South Africa. Her family were fleeing the violence that was now besetting the country.

‘I just wanted a better future, especially being female, because we’re not really safe over there,’ Demi said.

Demi settled in Western Australia with her family after landing in Victoria. She described the most difficult part of the process was gaining permanent residency, saying it ‘cost them everything.’

Demi may be after farmer Sam, but this week, shock claims emerged that the 25-year-old, who hails from Canowindra, may have had a ‘secret girlfriend’ throughout the season, ‘isn’t a farmer’ at all and that he’s using his brother’s farm to appear on the show.

After a video of Sam emerged on TikTok, one follower was quick to comment: ‘Yup, when they find out he isn’t a farmer and used his brothers farm to get on the show…’

Another added: ‘This dude isn’t even a farmer OR from Cano.’

‘It’s actually the family farm. He had to borrow stock and machinery from local farmers. It’s not even a farm, it’s only four paddocks. It’s a block,’ a third said in response.

‘My friend knows this guy and he had a long-term girlfriend whilst filming this,’ a fourth said.

Despite the rumours, Sam said earlier this year that he hopes to find love once and for all when appearing on the show – and made an unusual admission about how he normally selects his dates.

Sam said any woman he sets his sights on will have to meet the approval of his mother, in an interview with the Daily Telegraph.

‘Her opinion means a lot to me because mum knows who I am,’ he said.

The new farmers who are appearing on this season are Andrew, Matt Trewin, Will Dwyer, Sam Messina and Rob Campbell.

The new series will premiere on Sunday, July 4 on Channel Seven
