Meet the in-laws! NRL star Sam Burgess spends time with pregnant fiancée Lucy Graham and her parents at the beach in Sydney

Retired NRL star Sam Burgess and his new fiancée Lucy Graham are set to welcome their first child in coming weeks.

And Sam, 34, enjoyed some bonding time with his future in-laws on Saturday after they flew to Australia from the UK ahead of meeting their new grandchild.

Posting to Instagram, Lucy shared a photo of Sam posing at Coogee Beach in Sydney’s eastern suburbs as they enjoyed a stroll together.

In another post, Lucy revealed the group’s morning plans with her parents, including getting coffee, eating avocado on toast, enjoying a coastal walk, and taking photos on the beach.

‘Big Dave slotting into the eastern suburb lifestyle so well,’ Lucy wrote, referring to her father David Graham.

Lucy is heavily pregnant with her first child with Sam, and is due in September.

Sam was previously married to Phoebe Burgess, with whom he shares two children: daughter Poppy, six, and son Billy, four.

The former Rabbitohs player proposed to Lucy in June, just nine months after they went public with their relationship.

Burgess previously revealed he was extremely nervous when he asked the Leeds hairdresser to marry him.

Appearing on Channel 7’s Sunrise shortly after arriving back in Australia, Sam was asked how he proposed to Lucy.

While he kept the details private, he said: ‘I was very nervous actually, I dropped the ball so to speak, it was a great day, a great time away, we are both very happy.’

Lucy appeared extremely happy with her engagement ring, as she shared photos flaunting it on Instagram.

Lucy recently made the decision to move Down Under from the UK permanently and it’s believed her pregnancy was the reason.

It was recently revealed that Lucy used to be a member of British girl group The Ultra Girls, who were featured heavily on The X Factor UK in 2009.

Graham sang and danced with three other young women in the girl power group that took inspiration from The Spice Girls.

One of their career highlights was supporting Kylie Minogue when she performed her Aphrodite World Tour in London in 2011.

Unfortunately, despite heavy publicity their debut single Girls Will Be Girls failed to chart, ending Graham’s dreams of making it as a pop star.
