Meghan King says ex husband Jim Edmonds’ wedding to Kortnie O’Connor was the ‘best day of her life’

Meghan King is throwing shade at her ex husband Jim Edmonds, by hailing his recent wedding to Kortnie O’Connor as ‘the best day of my life’ because it means she is now free of him.

King, 38, who shares three kids with her former spouse, held nothing back in the candid sit-down, jibing him over spending ‘inconceivable amounts of money on his bride’ to keep her in his life.

‘He’s in Italy right now. He just got married, so he’s totally leaving me alone,’ she told Us Weekly of his nuptials with O’Connor, 37. ‘Like, his wedding day was also the best day of my life.’

Meghan was married to the former MLB star, 52, from 2014 until 2019, and they are parents to daughter Aspen, five, and twin boys Hayes and Hart, four.

In the off-the-cuff chat the former Real Housewives of Orange County star went on to say about her former flame: ‘He’s spending massive, whopping, inconceivable amounts of money on his bride. Like, I am all for it, whatever it takes. Keep her around.’

The media personality was fired up as she continued to emphasize her children’s new stepmom’s high maintenance indulgences.

‘Take her on lavish trips, buy her a Ferrari and Chanel and private jets. Do anything you can to keep this woman because I don’t know what would happen if she was gone. Like, he would fall apart,’ she emphasized.

And in the midst of her sass, she gave Jim credit for his relationship providing their little ones with a sense of stability.

‘[Kortnie] is who my children have known for the last three years. And that stability is really important. I haven’t been able to give them that stability and a partner, which is a huge piece of mom guilt for me,’ she revealed.

‘But at least Jim — with his mountain of faults — is able to provide that. I’m gonna give him props where props are due,’ she praised.

In the virtual conversation Meghan was bubbly as ever, dressed in a charcoal-colored denim jacket and white t-shirt.

Elsewhere in the forthcoming conversation, Meghan clarified previous reports that the temporary restraining order she had against her ex had been dropped.

‘The temporary restraining order was dropped but we entered into a consent order that keeps the same terms as the restraining order. So it wasn’t dropped due to a lack of fear,’ she noted.

‘It was dropped because it just changed. It just evolved and changed. Because of that, I feel safe.’

The blonde beauty also added, ‘Ever since I got the [temporary restraining order] things have pretty much been better.’

Meghan initially sought the TRO against Edmonds due to a claim he had been verbally abusive over their child custody agreement.

King filed the court documents in Missouri back in June according to a TMZ report over what she described as ‘frequent and consistent verbal abuse’ via texts.

The court order also claimed the same behavior occurred on Family Wizard app, used to co-parent their children.

It was unclear exactly what Edmonds said to her, but insiders told noted that it had to do with their shared custody agreement, specifically referencing the pick-up/drop-off schedule which King claimed had not been followed.

King’s first marriage was to Brad McDill. The two were married in the summer of 2007, later divorcing in 2011.

She tied the knot last year with President Biden’s nephew Cuffe Owens, but they split up after just two months of marriage. In July, King revealed the union had been annulled.

Up next for King is an appearance on Reality of Love, a new show coming to Netflix, where she will speak openly with celebrity relationship coach Nicole Moore.

‘Nicole and I have worked together on-and-off over the past few years. She’s really helped me in my love life to work through some things that I’ve been through in my romantic life and try to come out on the other side of it,’ King said.

‘It just made a lot of sense when she asked me to help her with Reality of Love. I was a willing participant and I couldn’t wait to support her in her dream, but also to collaborate with other women. [We got to] see what we’re all going through and how reality TV affected our lives.’
