A 25-year-old part-time model could be the most convincing Meghan Markle-lookalike yet after winning a global competition – but she admits she’s not into dating red-heads.
Lukwesa Morin, 25, from Washington DC, is set to go on the books of British celebrity spoof artist Alison Jackson after she won the competition launched by dating website beautiful people.com.
Since Prince Harry, 32, proposed to Meghan, 36, back in November, dozens of potential lookalikes have been signing up to agencies hoping to cash in on their resemblance to the former Suits star.

In a true sign that Meghan has arrived in the royal sphere, the former Suits actress has already spawned a slew of lookalikes – some good, some bad – being signed up to agencies
Lukwesa, who, like Meghan, has mixed race heritage, was deemed the most convincing lookalike by renowned celebrity artist Alison Jackson, who makes a living out of comedy spoofs involving what looks like very famous faces.
Despite the 11-year-age gap between herself and Meghan, Lukwesa says that since Markle first hit the spotlight in Suits, she’s constantly being told she looks like the 36-year-old.
She told FEMAIL: ‘Since Suits became popular, people have been telling me every day that I look like her, from perfect strangers to my family.
‘And now, since the engagement, I’ve had even more comments with people saying “Are you Meghan Markle, are you going to marry a prince?'”
‘Even my own mom has said: “Oh my gosh, if only Prince Harry met you first!.’

While she admits she’d love to meet a prince like Meghan has, Lukwesa says she’s ‘not a big fan of red heads’ and has never ‘dated a ginger’.
Lukwesa, who has entered beauty pageants including Miss Maryland USA 2017 and works as a part-time model, says she was suprised to win but delighted.

She said: ‘I was shocked to win but felt like it legitimized what everyone has been saying to me all along.
‘I’m only 25 but we’re both mixed race, my father is French and my mother is from Zambia.’
While she’s yet to appear as a Meghan double, Lukwesa, who’s just completed an online masters, is ‘totally flexible’ to travel should the offers of work start to pour in.
And she’s even been to England before too. ‘I love England, I did a Study Abroad programme in Lancaster, which was great fun but so cold.’

Opportunities for lookalike work are likely to come rolling in thick and fast ahead of Harry and Meghan’s wedding at Windsor Castle on May 19th next year.

The three Meghan lookalikes left viewers deeply underwhelmed by the contenders’ supposed ‘resemblance’ to Prince Harry’s girlfriend.
‘Is this a joke?’, asked one viewer on Twitter. While another chimed in: ‘Apparently the only thing you need to be a Meghan Markle lookalike is a face.’
A third said their pet dog bore a closer resemblance to the actress than any of the front-runners in the search for a woman with the ‘Markle sparkle’.
Perhaps the most convincing Meghan-a-like so far is Spanish MP Begona Villacis.
