Meghan Markle’s CV lists skills as juggler and stripper

Meghan Markle once listed stripping and juggling as part of her skills set on her CV.

The American actress, 36, who announced her engagement with Prince Harry last week, became a hit on the TV series Suits.

But before she landed that role, she had a number of other interesting jobs on and off camera as she attempted to hit the big time.

And according to her old CV, seen by TMZ, she had a wide range of talents.

Miss Markle, who will marry into the British Royal Family next year, listed TV credits on Fringe, Cuts and her role as Hot Girl in A Lot Like Love as her highlights.

In the skills section, she claimed to be good at many sports, including baseball, golf, swimming, horse riding, snowboarding and baton twirling.

She also boasted of her musical credentials, with her ability to sing pop and country and play the guitar and drums making the list.

Bizarrely, the LA-born bride-to-be noted others skills of being a good DJ, juggler, masseuse and stripper.

Miss Markle graduated from Northwestern University in theatre and international relations.

While trying to pay bills while auditioning for acting roles, she became a freelance calligrapher, doing correspondence for Dolce & Gabbana and wedding invitations for clients such as singer Robin Thicke.

She also worked at the US Embassy in Argentina and was a ‘briefcase girl’ – one of the models who hold the suitcases full of cash – on the US version of Deal or No Deal.

Miss Markle first hit the screens in America when she featured in an episode of the medical drama General Hospital in 2002, before moving on to roles in CSI, 90210, Without A Trace, Castle, and as an FBI agent in the series Fringe.

She has already been married once before. In September 2011 she wed film producer Trevor Engelson after dating him for half a dozen years.

She met him in 2004 as they both scrabbled for a start in the entertainment industry, before becoming man and wife in a relaxed ceremony in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

Shortly before the wedding, Miss Markle had secured her big career break in the TV drama Suits and was already commuting between LA and Toronto to meet filming schedules.

She starred in three major Hollywood films: Get Him To The Greek, Remember Me and Horrible Bosses, before landing a major role as paralegal Rachel Zane in the legal series Suits in 2011, relocating her home to Toronto, Canada, where the show is filmed.

In 2014, the beauty, fashion and travel enthusiast founded her blog thetig.com to ‘reframe the beauty content to include think pieces about self-empowerment’.

Yesterday, it emerged that shortly before meeting Miss Markle, Prince Harry had told friends he would marry someone used to the spotlight.

The fifth in line to the throne told a confidante that ‘only somebody who was already in the public eye would be able to understand and handle everything that goes with being with [a prince]’, it was reported.

Harry, 33, met divorcee Miss Markle, 36, last summer, shortly after making the comments, yet the source added: ‘I don’t think he went out and deliberately looked for a famous actress.’

The prince’s candid remarks came after his two serious ex-girlfriends, Chelsy Davy, 32, and Cressida Bonas, 28, admitted they struggled with the scrutiny of being with the royal.

MailOnline has contacted Kensington Palace for comment.
