Meghan Markle’s friend reveals Duchess will not meet with half-sister

Meghan Markle has no intention of meeting with her half-sister Samantha when she comes to the UK, her friend has revealed to DailyMailTV.

Samantha’s manager announced the 53-year-old would be travelling to the UK this week in hopes of having a talk with Meghan to discuss the health of their father Thomas Markle.

But the Duchess of Sussex has no plans to see her ‘very jealous’ older sister, especially given Samantha’s frequent Twitter tirades against her and her new royal family members.

A friend of Meghan’s told DailyMailTV: ‘There is not a chance in hell that Meghan is going to lower herself and meet with her half sister.

‘Samantha is kidding herself if she thinks there is any possibility of getting together with Meghan, or anyone from the Royal family for that matter.’

She added: ‘Meghan and Samantha are not close in the slightest. They never have been and it’s doubtful they ever will be, especially after all of Samantha’s name-calling and bullying.’

Samantha frequently lashes out at Meghan and her husband Prince Harry, insulting her with petty names, calling her a ‘ducha**’, and going as far as saying if their father Thomas dies, it will be because of her.

Earlier this month, Samantha went on an extraordinary Twitter rant, proclaiming Meghan ‘wasn’t much different than Trump’.

She wrote: ‘[He] thinks he can shoot someone and still get votes. She can dump an entire family both sides and a best friend of 30 years and ignore it and be popular. Sad.’

The friend explained  that Meghan has long been dealing with Samantha who is ‘very jealous’ and ‘always kept tabs on how much their father spent on her’.

She said: ‘Samantha has always tried to drive a wedge between Meghan and her father, and this is no exception. It’s no surprise that Meghan doesn’t have a relationship with her.

‘And as far as her dad’s health is concerned, Meghan is not worried.

‘Her mom would be the first to know if there was some serious health issue with her dad, and she would tell Meghan.’

In the days leading up to Meghan’s wedding to Harry in May, it was revealed Thomas Markle had been staging paparazzi shots of himself, with the photos selling for more than $100,000.

After the story was exposed, Thomas claims he was taken to a hospital due to heart problems and he would not be able to attend his daughter’s wedding.

Samantha later said she had encouraged her father to take part in the fake photos, and that she sees no problem in ‘cashing in’ on Meghan and the Royal family.

But despite her looming visit to the UK, which is happening ‘very soon’ according to Samantha, Meghan has other things to worry about, the friend said.

The 37-year-old is currently busy finding a place for her mother Doria Ragland, 63, to live when she has long visits to England.

The friend revealed: ‘They’ve narrowed it down between a luxury penthouse in Kensington and a home in Hampstead, an area that Meghan absolutely adores.

‘Either way, she plans on doing all of the decorating. This is her way of thanking her mom.

‘Plus she loves decorating, it’s a passion. And by the time she’s done, her mom’s home will look like a page out of Architectural Digest.

‘She’s really excited for her mom to eventually stay for months at a time.’

Meghan returned to Toronto last month to visit dog Bogart, who she had to leave behind because it was deemed the pet was to old to travel to London. The friend said: 'She'll continue to visit him on an ongoing basis. Not as much as she would like, but as often as she can'

The friend continued: ‘Doria will keep her home in LA. When she travels, a close friend house sits and takes care of the dogs, so she’s covered. She doesn’t have to worry when she goes for extended visits.’

Meghan and her mother are both ‘huge dog lovers’, the friend said.

It was reported earlier this month that Meghan and Harry were believed to have named their new black Labrador ‘Oz’.

It is unclear what the significance of their new dog’s name is, although the couple are due to visit Australia in October, to coincide with the opening of the Invictus Games in Sydney.

Meghan already has a rescue dog named Guy, who was flown over from Toronto to London last November, following her engagement to Harry.

Meghan deemed her other rescue dog, Bogart, too old to make the journey from Canada, with the pooch being looked after by friends.

The royal’s friend said: ‘When Meghan went to Toronto last month, it was to visit her dog Bogart.

‘She keeps in touch via FaceTime and gets updates from her friends that are now his new parents. Of course, she misses him terribly.

‘She’ll continue to visit him on an ongoing basis. Not as much as she would like, but as often as she can.’
