Meghan Markle’s new natural look

She’s graced some of the glitziest red carpets but walking out with her new fiance today was one of Meghan Markle’s biggest starring roles.

So, naturally, Prince Harry’s bride-to-be dressed for the occasion with a stunning new beauty look to match.

The 36-year-old actress showcased a natural new beauty look, age-defying brows courtesy of a £48 treatment and a glossy new blow-dry, with leading hairdressers noting she’d had hair extensions.

The Suits actress, who looked resplendent in a white coat by Line the Label, smiled for the cameras as she posed for an official photoshoot with her boyfriend on Monday.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced their happy engagement news on Monday and the actress certainly dressed for the occasion with a stunning new beauty look to match

THE MAKE-UNDER

While we are more accustomed to seeing her with bronzed highlighter, heavily pencilled brows and smoky eyes, Meghan ditched her trusty cosmetics for a much more natural look today.

She ditched her trusty bronzer in favour of a much more natural look with a soft peachy blush glow.

She also appeared to have shunned false eyelashes for a softer eye makeup look and stuck to a nude lipgloss for the occasion.

Meghan’s make-up artist, Min Min Ma, recently revealed how she gives the Suits actress that naturally glowing look, that’s all fresh skin and bronzed cheekbones.

Describing her signature look, Min Min told E!: ‘A sun-kissed complexion, soft smoky eyes in bronzy, earthy tones and soft nude pink or coral lips.’

‘Meghan has naturally gorgeous skin, so I do very light skin makeup to ensure her freckles remain visible and use a bit of under-eye concealing.’

Min Min’s efforts not to cover up her freckles will be a top priority for the star, who previously revealed how having them freckles airbrushed out of photoshoots is her ‘pet peeve’.

To prep Meghan’s skin, Min Min applies a generous layer of DECLÉOR’s Aromessence Rose D’ Orient Soothing Oil Serum, a blend of 100 per cent natural essential oils including neroli, bitter orange and sweet almond.

She applies G.M. Collin’s Instant Radiance Anti-Aging Eye Patch which deliver an intense concentrate to reduce dark circles, puffiness, and fine lines in minutes. Min Min recommends applying the patches before eye make up to catch any stray shadow.

She then highlights and covers up any lingering dark circles with YSL’s ever popular hero product, Touche Eclat.

The finishing touch is a dusting of Jane Iredale Bronzer in Peaches and Cream to give her a sun-kissed look.

And to keep Meghan’s slim pins looking in tip top condition, Min Min applies DECLÉOR’ Aroma Nutrition Nourishing Rich Body Cream to make her skin glow.

While Min Min preps Meghan for red carpet events, she’s much more low key day to day.

HOW MEGHAN GOT HER ENGAGEMENT GLOW

Just a day after arriving in London Prince Harry’s girlfriend treated herself to a touch of retail therapy and facial treatments at a very exclusive spa.

Meghan, 36, was seen carrying a bag from the Sarah Chapman spa in Chelsea and was accompanied by the celebrity facialist herself as she left the beautician’s.

It is no wonder that Chapman’s Skinesis Clinic was top of Meghan’s list when it came to skin treatments with the spa boasting an all-star clientele including Victoria Beckham and Gigi Hadid.

The most expensive treatment the shop offers is a £450 full face skin resurfacing to give a ‘brighter, smoother skin surface’.

The highbrow clinic is renowned for its bespoke facials, which range from £125 to £220.

‘I don’t wear foundation in real life,’ she told Allure. ‘My routine is very simple – I call it the five-minute face.

‘It’s just curled lashes, mascara, Chap Stick, and a little bit of blush. That is my favorite kind of look.’

THE GLOSSY BLOW DRY AND HAIR EXTENSIONS

Meghan also championed a glossy blow-dry for the occasion – and didn’t look too dissimilar to the Duchess of Cambridge.

Her hair looked extra glossy – perhaps thanks to a deep conditioning treatment – and appeared to be much longer than in recent months.

Some hairdressers believe she may have had extensions added for length and volume.

Sophia Hamid, Senior Director at Michaeljohn, Brompton Road, notes: ‘Meghan has amazing hair and in all the engagement photos it appears to be even thicker more lustrous than before; which does suggest that she might have had extensions.

‘Her strong, thick hair also lends itself perfectly to a Brazilian blow dry. It reinforces the strength and quality of the hair, protects it and makes it smooth, sleek and more manageable.’

In recent years, she has also ditched her lighter highlights in favour of a classier, all-brunette look.

THE YOUTH-BOOSTING BROWS

Meghan displayed super groomed eyebrows for her big news – a far cry from the bushier features she’s championed in the past.

Her secret? A youth-boosting treatment at Nails and Brows in Mayfair.

The beauty haunt say that Meghan is a regular and has had her brows tended to by Nails & Brows founder Sherrille Riley, one of the UK’s leading brow experts.

Meghan has had the £48 Audrey shape at the salon. Opposed to heavily arched brows, which now seem harsh and dated, ‘The Audrey’ counteracts with a modern version of Hepburn’s iconic shape, propelling a natural yet groomed brow as the covetable trend of 2017.

‘Fashioned to be suitable for women of all ages and face shapes, ‘”The Audrey” consists of a straight, arch-less brow, tapering out towards the temple,’ says Riley. ‘Continuing to bring the brow up, instantly lifts the face creating a fresh and youthful appearance.’

Meghan fills her brows in with the £20 Beauty Edit Mayfair’s Brow Filler, which apprarently creates ‘beautifully defined brows with a non-waxy finish’. The intensely pigmented lead delivers a precise line and perfectly mimics brow hairs, say makers.

A pioneer of naturally styled brows, Riley apparently combines her knowledge of colourist technology with her expertise in brow architecture to deliver bespoke brow grooming.

HD Lead Brow Stylist, Jamie Long, said of the look: ‘Meghan has always been a natural beauty, but since her royal romance began with Harry she has simplified all elements of her look.

‘Opting for a more subtle look, the princess-to-be showcased a slightly textured brow that gently frames her face.’

The Suits actress, 36, showcased the stunning ring designed by Prince Harry himself with one stone from Botswana, where he and Meghan recently holidayed, and two diamonds from Diana’s personal collection.

The ring was made by Cleave and Company, Court Jewellers and Medallists to Her Majesty The Queen. At its centre is a diamond from Botswana, a country that holds special significance for Prince Harry who has visited many times since he was a child. It is also a place the couple has spent time together over the last year and a half.

The ring features two outside stones, which are diamonds from the personal collection of Prince Harry’s mother, Diana, Princess of Wales.

David Allen of 77 Diamonds said a ring of this size and quality would start at around £50,000 but with the use of the late Princess Diana’s diamonds as side stones, this ring, like Kate’s before it is of inestimable worth.

TheDiamondStore.co.uk estimate that the ring cost £199,475 and the stone is likely to be a D in colour (the clearest).

Poignantly the royal chose their first photocall in the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace, much loved by his late mother Diana.

Harry and his brother William had white roses planted there in her memory when the 20th anniversary of her death fell in August.

The couple will appear together on national TV in the UK for the first time this evening to discuss their engagement and whirlwind relationship of 16 months.

Harry, 33, who revealed a year ago he had fallen for the actress after a four to six month secret relationship, proposed to Meghan, 36, in London earlier this month.
