The bloodlines of the city’s two most notorious families – the Ibrahims and Mehajers – are set to become one.
Aisha Mehajer, sister of Salim, and Sam Sayour, nephew of Kings Cross legend John, are expecting their first child less than four months after their whirlwind wedding.
The pair’s marriage last November was marred by a drive-by shooting that saw John’s long-time bodyguard and best friend, Semi ‘Tongan Sam’ Ngata, shot in the back.
But their baby shower was seemingly a far less dangerous affair, with the parents-to-be celebrating the news they are expecting a baby boy alongside family and friends on Sunday night.

Aisha’s younger sister Sanaa, who herself briefly ‘married’ John Ibrahim’s bikie cousin Moudi Tajjour last year, posted photos from inside the private event to Instagram.
A blue cake decorated with the words ‘Baby Sayour’ was central to the party as Aisha and Sam announced the latest addition to their family.
Sanaa also posed for a picture with Kings Cross enforcer ‘Tongan Sam’, who made a defiant appearance after being shot when the families last came together.
The second youngest Mehajer then moved on to snap a selfie with Maha Sayour, the unborn child’s grandmother and John Ibrahim’s sister.
Ms Sayour, who also goes by the name Jazz Dior, ditched the dreadlocks she showed in court last year when she narrowly avoided prison on a firearms charge.
The 48-year-old also escaped jail in 2011 after being found not-guilty of hiding $2.86 million worth of proceeds of crime in the ceiling of her western Sydney home.

She also posed for a photo with giant Kings Cross enforcer ‘Tongan Sam’, who made a defiant appearance after being shot when the families last came together
A judge decided it was ‘highly suspicious’ the money had ended up in the ceiling of the nightclub owner’s sister, but said there was a chance others had put it there.
But ‘grandma’ won’t be the only colourful character in the unborn child’s life, with an array of relatives on both sides having been convicted of crimes.
His father Hassan, better known as Sam, was shot in the groin twice in 2011 when 19. It’s believed the attack may have been linked to a drive-by shooting earlier that day.
His highest-profile relative is known as ‘Teflon John’ – and with good reason.
Despite allegations of links to the organised crime, the nightclub owner has not been convicted of an offence since he was a teenager.

By contrast, a number of his relatives and business associates have been jailed for a range of crimes.
His brothers Fadi and Michael are currently behind bars over their alleged links to an international drug smuggling syndicate said to be worth $810 million.
‘Uncle Salim’ Mehajer is currently behind bars prison over charges he perverted the course of justice when he allegedly staged car crash on his way to court in October.
The disgraced property developer has also faced charges including assaulting a TV journalist, stalking his ex-wife Aysha and numerous civil claims over unpaid debts.

His aunty Fatmia Mehajer and her husband Jamal Elkheir have also been embroiled in trouble, with the pair currently facing prison over electoral fraud charges.
Fatima has pleaded guilty to 77 charges relating to electoral fraud at a 2012 election for Auburn Council which saw Salim elected to the role of deputy mayor.
Another link between the two families came last year, when Sanaa Mehajer began to date Ibrahim’s cousin Moudi Tajjour, after meeting at the wedding of Aisha and Sam.
Ms Mehajer and Tajjour, a Nomads bikie enforcer and convicted killer, tied the knot soon after in an Islamic ceremony, before recently calling time on their romance.
