Mel B’s daughter Phoenix Chi Brown ‘lands huge new show’ after the success of her Celebrity Gogglebox stint with her mother

Mel B’s daughter Phoenix Chi Brown has reportedly landed a huge new show after the success of her Celebrity Gogglebox stint with her mother.

Phoenix, 25, appeared alongside Mel, 49, on the latest series of Celebrity Gogglebox, series six, which aired in June and July.

And now, according to The Sun, she is set to star in a Channel 4 documentary following new artists as they attempt to break into the industry.

A source said: ‘Phoenix is working on a special TV film focusing on her as she attempts to break into the professional art world.

‘It will follow her as she launches her first collection of work to the public. She is taking it really seriously, she doesn’t want to be seen as a nepo baby, she wants to be a credible artist and this documentary will show just how hard she has worked.’

Adding fuel to the rumour is the fact that Phoenix to to her Instagram page on Friday to tell her followers: ‘My debut show EMOSH will be launching next week at Sarah Kravitz gallery.’

Phoenix’s reps have been contacted for comment.

DJ-turned-professional artist Phoenix is Mel’s firstborn, conceived during Mel’s short-lived marriage to Dutch back-up dancer Jimmy Gulzar.

Mel has a further two children, both girls: Angel Murphy Brown, 17, with Eddie Murphy and Madison Brown Belafonte, 11, with her ex-husband Stephen Belafonte.

Leeds native Mel has previously described her eldest child Phoenix, who grew up in the US, as ‘very wise’, which will no doubt come across on the show.

The women share a close bond, with Phoenix frequently dressing up as Mel in her Scary Spice heyday.

And they may be on television at the same time, as Mel has been confirmed to be joining the cast of Bear Hunt, led by Bear Grylls and Holly Willoughby.

Bear Hunt, filmed in Costa Rica, is an £10 million Netflix adventure show that will see British celebrities go face-to-face in the jungle.

The gruelling endurance reality competition programme is also set to star Boris Becker, Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas and rugby legend Danny Cipriani among others.

Missing Mel will be her fiancé Rory McPhee, whom she is due to marry in St Paul’s Cathedral – in a dress designed by Victoria Beckham.

Mel has been married twice before: to Jimmy, Phoenix’s father (1998 to 2000) and to Stephen, Madison’s father (2007 to 2017).

She has also dated English actor Max Beesley, who is currently appearing in Guy Ritchie hit The Gentlemen.
