Mel Schilling reveals her envy-inducing Paris view… just weeks after MAFS star spent Christmas in hospital with colon cancer

Married At First Sight’s Mel Schilling is currently enjoying a European getaway.

And the dating coach, 52, took to Instagram on Friday to show off the view from her Paris hotel.

In a video posted to her stories, the camera approached a door opening up onto a balcony.

Mel peel back the curtain to reveal a picturesque wintry landscape of snow dusting the homes of Paris around her accommodation, with the Eiffel Tower on the horizon.

She captioned her enviable panoramic video with the words ‘just morning snow capped view over the Eiffel Tower.’

It comes after the relationship expert recently underwent colon cancer removal surgery, took to Instagram to announce she was heading home from hospital in London to spend Christmas Day with her family.

‘Driving home for Christmas,’ she captioned a heartwarming image of herself hugging her husband Gareth Brisbane, 51, and their daughter Madison, eight.

The trio were all smiles and dressed in Christmas sweaters.

Fans were thrilled with the news, with one commenting: ‘So good to see u ok and home for Xmas. Have a restful time being pampered by your family’.

‘Christmas miracles do happen! So happy for you all!’ another added.

Mel’s happy news comes days after the psychologist and dating coach announced her tumour – which she named ‘Terry’ – had been removed by UK doctors.

‘So yesterday lunchtime I had keyhole surgery to remove my tumour (AKA Terry) and in the words of my amazing surgeon it couldn’t have gone any better!’ Mel wrote in an Instagram post during last year’s festive season.

She accompanied her post a photo of the TV star in a hospital bed, giving a thumbs up with a tube in her nose.

Mel added: ‘Crucially the cancer hadn’t spread to my abdominal cavity, which was our greatest fear but was entirely localised in my colon.’

‘Over the coming days I will discuss my treatment plan going forwards but suffice to say that Terry is toast!’

Mel then revealed her treatment had taken place in London and went on to praise the UK’s National Health Service (NHS).

Mel said she was diagnosed just one month after she began to feel pain in her stomach while filming MAFS Australia’s upcoming eleventh season.
