Melania Trump sported a classic cream trench coat on Friday — just one day after her husband’s ex-wife Ivana Trump modeled a flashy red version of the coat in New York City.
The 47-year-old first lady protected herself from the autumn chill in a Burberry trench coat with a check woven trim while she and her husband, President Trump, toured the United States Secret Service James J. Rowley Training Center in Beltsville, Maryland.
Melania paired the coat with cropped black pants, and she traded her signature heels for practical black flats by Christian Louboutin for the visit.

The president and first lady were visiting the training center for the Secret Service to watch agents demonstrate protective techniques, according to CBS News.
The outlet reports that President Obama and President George W. Bush made similar visits to the facility early in their terms as well.
The point of the demonstrations is to show the president and his wife how the Secret would responds to various attacks.
Their visit comes just a few months after it was reported that the Secret Service was running out of money to pay agents because of Trump’s travel, large family and multiple houses.

Secret Service Director Randolph ‘Tex’ Alles revealed in August that the agency was over-stretched, warning that 1,000 of his agents — about one-third of the workforce — have already hit their federally-mandated salary caps in 2017.
While Melania was by her husband’s side, his first wife Ivana, 68, appeared to be enjoying the simple life while running a series of errands in New York City — but they were both wearing a little Burberry on Friday.
Ivana donned a maroon Adidas tracksuit featuring the brand’s logo on the back of her jacket and the sporty brand’s trademark three stripes snaking down her leg, as well as a pair of Burberry glasses.
She paired the sporty outfit with black flats from her daughter Ivanka Trump’s eponymous line, which looked nearly identical to the Christian Louboutin shoes Melania wore to Maryland.

Ivana also carried a chic $2,100 Dior purse and kept her glasses tucked into the front of her jacket before she put them on to pick up bananas inside a nondescript deli.
In addition to stopping for a fruity snack, the Czech-born businesswoman and former model stopped to admire puppies through a window shop, as passersby are wont to do when they walk past a pet store.
The day before, Ivana was sporting a more glamorous look while buttoned-up in the head-turning red trench, which she’d been spotted in earlier this year while out for a lunch at the Upper East Side Italian eatery Altesi Ristorante.
She wore her hair piled on top of her head in her signature blonde updo, which showed off her large hoop airings and pink lipstick. A bodyguard helped her from her car and into the studio.

She was heading inside to film a segment to air on Friday’s Wendy Williams Show, which the host teases ‘put politics aside’ and delves into family life.
Ivana found herself embroiled in some family drama this week, after a seemingly off-the-cuff remark prompted a public response from the first lady.
While promoting her book, she told ABC’s Good Morning America that while she has a ‘direct number to the White House’, she doesn’t usually use it.
‘I don’t really want to call him there because Melania is there, and I don’t want to cause any kind of jealousy or something like that,’ she said while laughing. ‘Because I’m basically first Trump wife, okay? I’m first lady, okay?’
Though the laughter seems to indicate that she meant the ‘first lady’ comment as a joke, Melania felt compelled to respond and shut it down.
Promoting her book: Earlier this week, Ivana joked that because she was Trump’s first wife, she was first lady
No harm meant: She had said earlier that she did not want the job and would never say anything bad about Melania because she is ‘family’
Fighting words: However, Melania issued a statement through her spokesperson that Ivana is attention-seeking and her first lady comment was ‘self-serving noise’
On tour: Ivana is promoting her book, which takes a look at her family life
Dismissed: Though she said she would not say anything bad about Melania, she called Trump’s second wife — with whom he had an affair while married to Ivana — ‘nobody’
Her spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham, released a statement that Ivana’s claim had ‘no substance.’
‘Mrs. Trump has made the White House a home for Barron and the President. She loves living in Washington, DC and is honored by her role as First Lady of the United States. She plans to use her title and role to help children, not sell books,’ she said.
‘There is clearly no substance to this statement from an ex. Unfortunately only attention seeking and self-serving noise.’
However, Ivana seemed more than willing to continue the feud when she doubled down on her claims that she is the ‘real first lady’ during her interview with Wendy Williams.
Press: She has been making many media appearances for Raising Trump
‘Well I tell you I am technically first lady Trump. I was first wife,’ she said, adding: ‘I don’t know what Melania’s problem is.
‘She just has to get over it. She is first lady of America, but I am first lady Trump.’
Ivana also admitted she was surprised by Melania’s official statement on the matter, saying: ‘I have no idea why she did it. Because I never said I am first lady of America. Better her than me, frankly.’
Though Ivana’s first lady joke was widely printed, she had also said earlier in the week that she did not want the job, saying ‘not at all’ when asked on Fox News’ “Fox and Friends whether it should be hers.
‘Washington is tough, tough town. I was asked to be American ambassador to Czech Republic. I told him, I said, you know, if he would ask me 10, 15 years ago I would do it,’ she said.
She also promised that she would never publicly insult Melania.
‘I sent Melania the text, that the last thing I would like to do is say something bad about you, you know because you are family. And I don’t say anything bad or do anything back to the family member,’ she said.
She also referred to Melania as ‘first lady’ on CBS Sunday Morning when asked about whether she gets along with the other wives in Trump’s life.
‘One is nobody. And the other one is first lady,’ she said.
