Melanie Griffith, 65, looks youthful in an all-black ensemble after having lunch

Melanie Griffith was all smiles while looking rather youthful after having lunch with a friend on Monday afternoon.

The 65-year-old actress was spotted after having lunch with a friend at San Vicente Bungalows in West Hollywood.

The outing comes just weeks after she was seen with a new scar near her left ear back in January. 

Griffith stepped out in all black, with a black turtleneck under a stylish black leather coat for the lunch outing.

Her long blonde locks spilled over her shoulders as she left the exclusive club while holding a pair of black sunglasses with a black purse slung over her shoulder.

The actress also wore form-fitting black pants while accessorizing with diamond studded earrings for the lunch.

She completed her look with a pair of black flat shoes while leaving the exclusive Los Angeles club.

Griffith was spotted with the new scar since early January, though she hasn’t spoken publicly about it at this time.

However, a new report from Radar Online in late January claimed those close to the actress are concerned her skin cancer may have returned.

‘She’s had some issues with skin cancer in the not-too-distant past, and people around her worry she had a recurrence that required more surgery’ a source said.

Griffith previously had multiple surgeries for skin cancer back in 2009, and in 2018 she was spotted with a Band-Aid on her nose after undergoing a procedure to remove a cancerous growth.

Dr. Gabe Mirkin, a Florida-based doctor who has not personally treated Griffith, added, ‘The odds are overwhelming that this type of surgery was for a skin cancer.’

The doctor added that most basal cell skin cancers are typically curable and account for 95% of cases, and are easy for surgeons to remove.

She is attached to star in her ex-husband Antonio Banderas’ new directorial effort Akil, which is in pre-production.

The story follows, ‘a young boy named Akil who is being hunted by the police, flees Africa and takes refuge in an American woman’s home in Spain.’
