Melbourne agent takes property auction to next level

Standing out from the crowd is never easy in the ever-surging Australian property market.

But one leading Melbourne agent did just that Saturday when he pulled out all the stops with a bizarre property auction.

Entrusted to sell a Glen Iris bungalow packed with potential, Ferrari-driving Zed Nasheet opted for some star power and a lavish party to help him seal the deal.

Topping the guestlist was this year’s Bachelor contestant  Simone Ormesher, who was joined by more than 80 guests and prospective buyers to enjoy an array of food and entertainment.

The TV star wowed guests with her presence, alongside a host of lavish Brazilian dancers, telling Daily Mail Australia she was thrilled to be there.

‘It’s a bit different isn’t it? I didn’t really know what to expect but I’ve headed here today ready to mingle and have a bit of fun,’ she said.

But it was the three-bedroom home that really stole the show, selling for a cool $1.64million – a whopping $440,000 over the reserve price.

Mr Nasheet called the result ‘amazing’, having brought the auction forward by three weeks after ‘overwhelming interest’ from potential buyers.

‘It is an incredible result for the vendor and proof that not only is the Melbourne property market sizzling hot, but whether you’re buying or selling it’s all about location, location, location!’ he told Daily Mail Australia.

Mr Nasheet added: ‘This is something the nation has never seen before, it’s a complete one off. I’m all about innovation and change.’

‘I’d sent out 3,500 emails about this one – we’ve had a lot of interest from a whole host of people from investors to first time buyers.’

Mr Nasheet said he wanted people to know that selling your home didn’t have to be a tedious and expensive process.

‘I’m throwing this party to show how easy it is to sell property,’ he said.

‘You don’t have to waste money when selling your house, people are wasting $20,000 with agents and I’m doing it at a fraction of the price and I guarantee sales.’

Mr Nasheet is no stranger to the limelight either, having made headlines earlier in the year after applying to the Guinness World Records to recognise his remarkable time of 15 minutes as the fastest time to sell a house.
