Jesinta Campbell spoke candidly about her pregnancy on Tuesday, as she attended the Melbourne Cup at Flemington Racecourse. 

The 28-year-old model, who is married to Sydney Swans star Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin, updated fans on her journey to motherhood, revealing that her body has gone through many changes over the past few months.

Showing off her bump in a custom yellow frock by Camilla and Marc, Jesinta told Daily Mail Australia that she is finally felling better after a difficult first trimester.

‘I feel great,’ Jesinta said, with the brunette glowing on the day. 

‘I think it’s quite common for a lot of women to feel terrible in the first trimester, but I feel really good and feel really healthy.’

She added that she’s ‘trying to keep as fit as possible’ and is doing Pilates throughout her pregnancy.

‘I obviously feel a little more hungry, you have a life growing inside of you,’ Jesinta said, adding that she and Buddy haven’t yet thought of names for their unborn child. 

Jesinta added that with some protesters being opposed to the Melbourne Cup because of the treatment of horses, her appearance at the event was ‘a big consideration,’ but she was ‘proud’ to attend with Bumble.    

Jesinta’s frock featured a high-neck, long sleeves and a flowing skirt, which put her baby bump on full display. 

The brunette wore her short locks neatly straightened and wore a white hair clip and matching white heels.

She said her skin had become dry and has had to spend plenty of time sleeping and resting following a difficult start to her pregnancy. 

‘I’m sleeping in a lot more which has been a nice change,’ she explained.

‘I’ve never been one to lounge around the house but I’ve had no choice but to slow down — I’ve learnt to listen to my body.’

Jesinta and husband Buddy announced their pregnancy in August.
