Melbourne indie singer Vance Joy ties the knot with girlfriend Selen Us in Istanbul

Melbourne indie singer Vance Joy has tied the knot with his stunning Spanish partner, Selen Us.

The couple opted for a destination wedding, marrying in Istanbul, Turkey in front of close friends and family.

The bride looked breathtaking in a slinky cream silk dress, which featured a unique cowl neck backline.

She opted for a no-fuss hairstyle, wearing her brunette locks out in soft waves and minimal makeup.

Meanwhile, Riptide singer Vance was dapper in a black tux, white shirt and black bow-tie.

The couple exchanged vows alongside the Bosphorus River under an arch adorned with beautiful colourful blooms.

Vance, a former AFL player, revealed he was engaged to Selena at the 2022 GQ’s Men of the Year Awards.

‘We are still planning it but it shouldn’t be too far away,’ he said at the event at the time.

Back in 2021, the Melbourne-based singer opened up about his long distance relationship with the Spanish art director.

Speaking with Herald Sun, he explained his track Missing Piece was dedicated to her.

‘I started writing it in Melbourne in lockdown. A lot of people were separated from their partners. In other songs I’ve talked about going home and that feeling of wanting to see someone,’ he said.

He has been nominated for five nominations this year: Song of the Year, Best Solo Artist, Best Adult Contemporary Album, Best Pop Release and Best Video.
