As part of their arrangement, a court heard that the husband and wife slept in the same room but in separate beds.

The other woman had her own room within the home.

Both women were also said to be friendly and reportedly socialised with one another.

However, the wife’s legal team stated she only allowed the other woman in the home to ‘feed her husband’s sex drive’.

In addition, all three parties were said to have had other partners throughout their arrangement, including a boyfriend for the wife.

The husband and the mistress’ lawyers said they pair had believed they had been a de facto relationship for more than ten years.

The parties involved have not been identified, however, News Corp reports the lawyers representing them are pocketing around $100,000 per day.

A full trial is expected to continue next year, with two short hearings so far having been concerned with ‘interim matters’.
