Melbourne robbery sees three luxury cars stolen from home

Man, 40, bashed in the back of the head by a group of thugs who broke into his home and stole three luxury cars

Five thieves allegedly crashed a stolen vehicle through the front gate of a home and  attacked its owner before fleeing with three luxury cars in Melbourne’s east. 

The incident unfolded at about 5.20am on Saturday when the thieves broke into the property in Sunburst Avenue, Balwyn North.

Police said they woke up the 40-year-old man and attacked him on the back of his head.

The thieves allegedly demanded the keys to the family’s luxury cars and took off with a white 2003 Audi Q7 with registration VARVA, a white 2018 Mercedes Benz GLA 180 with registration 1KP 4WA and a grey 2007 Audi A4 with registration 1MX 9CM.

The victim was not injured during the incident.

Police are calling for witnesses who sights the vehicles to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
