An unimaginable act of kindness has reunited a Melbourne woman with her wallet with $1,000 worth of earnings still inside after four moths of it being lost.
Kerrie Goodall misplaced her purse while running errands around Yarraville in May, and subsequently came to terms with the likely reality of never seeing her hard-earned cash again.
So when she was contacted by her former real estate agent, Dee Gibson, and told her purse had been found in the letterbox of her old home, Ms Goodall was understandably amazed.

‘I was a little but shocked actually, I was thrilled and I really wanted to share it with people to give them hope that there’s great people out there,’ she told Nine News.
She had been selling hand cleaner to mechanics at a recent motoring exhibition and hadn’t yet had the chance to bank her earnings.
While she admitted she felt ‘pretty upset for quite a while’ over the loss, she had tried to put it out of her mind.
Ms Goodall had moved properties since losing her wallet, making its return to her possession even more of an unlikely surprise.

Mr Gibson explained how the new buyers had contacted him asking if he could help them return the lost item after they found it in their Spotswood letterbox.
‘I received a call from the purchaser of Ms Goodall’s previous home, and he said, “I’ve got her wallet, I’d love to pass it on, can you help me out?”,’ he said.
Ms Goodall hopes to get in touch with the honest stranger and show them how grateful she is.
‘I’d love to say thank you so much and they can private message me, I’d love to know the circumstances of why (they handed it back) and maybe share a bit of a reward,’ she said.
