Melbourne woman vows to take revenge on her neighbour

A comedian has vowed to take revenge on a brazen cosmetics thief after they were caught stealing her pricey haul on CCTV footage.

Lucy Gransbury had been patiently anticipating the arrival of high-end lipsticks and moisturisers to her home, but the package never came – so she thought.

After contacting Australia Post, Ms Gransbury was told the parcel had in fact been delivered and left on top of letterboxes in her apartment building.

That’s when the Melbourne-based comedian realised she ‘definitely had a thief on (her) hands’.

The revelation persuaded Ms Gransbury to investigate further, and she paid hundreds of dollars to access the footage from her building’s body corporate.

But the CCTV vision pin-pointed the robber as someone very close to home: one of Ms Gransbury’s own neighbours.

Shocked and startled, she eventually took to Facebook to air her grievances – and vowed to track the brazen thief down.

‘Today we finally got the footage. Clear, colour, hi-def footage,’ wrote Ms Gransbury excitedly.

‘Of some sneaky devil woman entering our apartment block with her key – THAT’S RIGHT, SHE IS ONE OF MY NEIGHBOURS, THE NAUGHTY NITWIT – picking up my parcel, reading my name, shrugging, then keeping my glorious nude lipsticks and decadent moisturisers for herself.

‘I’m so excited I could vomit. As soon as I stop screaming, I’ll decide what to do next. Suggestions welcome. Stay tuned,’ she wrote before promising: ‘revenge is nigh’.

And luckily for Ms Gransbury, she has both the law and her legally well-versed fiance on her side.

‘My lawyer fiancée lawyered the s**t out of the sitch (sic). Meanwhile, I watched crime shows. So we all contributed,’ she wrote.
