The social media post was accompanied by an image that showed a visible sign on the fence which indicated the area was private parking, and 24 hours access was required.

Parked in the spot next to the reserved space sign was a purple Ford Fiesta with two paradoxical stickers placed on the rear of the car.

One sticker on the vehicle’s rear window read: ‘F*****G AWESOME’, while a sticker on the rear bumper said in large green writing: ‘Do you believe in…signs?’

The frustrated man who couldn’t access his parking spot later addressed the situation, explaining he was ‘powerless’ to have the car towed away despite the driver parking on private property.

‘This s**t happens about three times a year and it’s never the same person,’ he said.

‘While annoying, I have graduated to a more accepting Zen-like status and just leave a simple note not to do this again.’

The image sparked a flurry of comments from Reddit users who were outraged at the driver who blatantly ignored the reserved parking sign.

One user wrote: ‘Please tell me you double-parked them in and aren’t leaving until an inappropriately late time.’

‘If you want to be passive aggressive, print this out and put it under their wiper with a big red circle around the sticker and sign,’ said another.

While other individuals took aim at the stickers whacked on the back of the vehicle.

‘Send them a sign,’ one user said.

Another wrote: ‘I’ve got a Specsavers sticker that you can whack on there.’

While a third wrote: ‘That F*****G AWESOME’ sticker is ironic and also seeing it would p**s me off more if I found them parked in my spot.’
