Hurricane Maria has already claimed nine lives in the Caribbean, according to AOL.
But Melissa Joan Hart, 41, was more concerned about her thwarted vacation plans, if her now-deleted Instagram post is anything to go by.
On Tuesday, the Sabrina the Teenage Witch star posted a screenshot of a weather report and captioned the image: ‘And just like that, our family vacation is canceled. Such a bummer but we plan to hit the @nickresortpuntacana resort another time this year.’

The Sabrina the Teenage Witch star deleted the post after social media users called her out over her perceived insensitivity. But debate still rages online over the post’s intentions.
Twitter comments on a later post ranged from savage attacks on the actress/producer to more forgiving responses when she later posted a someone more compassionate Tweet about Hurricane Maria.
‘Sorry about your vacation. #noapology?’ wrote one Twitter user in respose.
Another fired back at that with the Tweet: ‘Why should she apologize? You’re not allowed to send prayers to people and not be bummed out about a vacation at the same time? #fakeoutrage’

Despite subsiding on Wednesday afternoon, Hurricane Maria crippled Puerto Rico and killed at least nine people.
The storm also knocked out power to the entire island.
By the afternoon, Maria’s core was moving away from the island, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said. However ‘catastrophic’ flash flooding was still occurring.

The hurricane completely devastated the Caribbean island of Dominica earlier in the week.
According to US Magazine, Tuesday wasn’t the first time the Melissa and Joey actress had been on the receiving end of internet outrage.
In 2014 she received criticism for encouraging customers of her online clothing store to use the online promo code ‘911’ – to get free shipping as part of a September 11 tie-in.
She later apologized for what many perceived as a tone-deaf marketing ploy.
