Melissa McCarthy looked positively bemused as Sean Spicer rolled his podium on stage at the Emmys.
The former press secretary parodied his first press conference where he clearly exaggerated the sized of President Donald Trump’s inauguration crowd.
He said: ‘This will be the largest audience to witness an Emmys. PERIOD. Both in person, and around the world. PERIOD.’
As he was wheeled offstage, Colbert said ‘Thank you Melissa McCarthy!’ a nod to her iconic impersonation of Spicer on Saturday Night Live.
