Memphis Depay was involved in a scuffle with his own fans after firing Lyon into the last-16 of the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Depay scored an 82nd minute equaliser as Lyon came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with RB Leipzig and qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.
But as Depay celebrated his side’s late success on the pitch, the mood shifted when the winger took issue with a banner being held aloft by a Lyon fan.

The banner included a picture of a donkey along with the name of centre-back Marcelo, who has been criticised after a poor run of form.
Depay went over to the stands and attempted to grab the banner from the supporter before a scuffle ensued.
The Dutchman’s team-mates attempted to pull him away from the scene, while the club’s Ultras, who were already angry at players for not acknowledging their support, ran down to the touchline.

The intervention of players and stewards eventually calmed the situation, but Depay was visibly upset as he made his way off the pitch.
The winger’s goal meant that Lyon finished second in Champions League Group G behind Leipzig, while Zenit Saint Petersburg were knocked out of the competition after a 3-0 thrashing away at Benfica.
