Meryl Streep and Martin Short did little to quell ongoing romance rumors as they stepped out for dinner in LA on Wednesday.
The Oscar-winning actress, 75, and her Only Murders In The Building co-star, 74, who held hands on the red carpet in August, looked giddy as they dined at Giorgio Baldi – with Short placing a tender hand on the small of her back.
Meryl looked chic in a bright blue and white bird-print blouse, paired with a navy skirt and white slippers.
Father of the Bride star Short wore a grey pinstripe suit for the festive evening.
The pair were seen getting into the same car with Streep driving her date home.

Back in October of 2023, Meryl’s fans were shocked to learn that she and her longtime husband Don Gummer had quietly separated six years earlier.
They are parents to Henry, 44, Mamie, 41, Grace, 38, and Louisa, 33.
She joined Only Murders In The Building as a special Guest Star beginning with its third season, and she has continued on with the currently airing fourth season.
The co-stars raised eyebrows as they held hands at an event for the Hulu series on August 24.
After observing them at the affair, a source told Page Six about their bond, ‘It’s gotta be more than a “showmance.” There is definitely something there.’
However, a representative for Streep told the publication: ‘They are just friends.’
Short gushed about his admiration for Streep when asked by Extra about their off-camera friendship.
‘I think it’s been a friendship that always grows if you work with someone and love that person,’ he explained.
After the pair first stoked dating rumors this past January, a rep for the Addams Family star told People they are ‘very good friends, nothing more.’
