Police are increasingly concerned for the safety of a teenage girl who has not been seen since going missing from her home nine days ago.

Mia Powell was last seen on Friday at around 7.30pm on Victoria Road in Formby, Merseyside.

The 17-year-old is described as a white female, around 5ft 5in tall, of slim build, with straight blonde shoulder length hair.

Mia was wearing a blue top, dark trousers with black flip-flops and dark socks when she was last seen.

She is known to frequent trains and stations, particularly Southport, Hunts Cross and Liverpool city centre.

Police say they are concerned for her whereabouts.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: ‘We are appealing for information to help trace a 17-year-old girl missing from home in Southport.

‘She is known to frequent trains and stations, particularly Southport, Hunts Cross and Liverpool city centre.

‘We are becoming increasingly concerned for Mia’s whereabouts.’ 

Anyone who has seen Mia, or has any information, is asked to contact police on @MerPolCC, 101 or @missingpeople on 116 000.
