Former Sunrise producer Michael Pell’s fiancé Daniel Burgess-Wise launches acting career in Los Angeles
Sunrise’s former executive producer Michael Pell and his fiancé Daniel Burgess-Wise relocated from Sydney to Los Angeles last year.
And Hollywood seems to have rubbed off on Daniel, who has now launched an acting career in Tinseltown.
The 30-year-old has already landed a number of notable roles since touching down in L.A.
So far, Burgess-Wise has starred in season four of Brat TV’s Attaway Hospital and the horror film Vengeance.
His latest role is alongside Hollywood screen siren Kathleen Turner in the upcoming thriller The Method.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Burgess-Wise trained as an actor at Sydney’s National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) before moving to Los Angeles.
’18 months ago I made a decision to try something new,’ the young thespian wrote on Instagram last year.
‘Big life gambles rarely fail if you work hard, surround yourself with positive, kind people, and believe in yourself. This is some BTS of my first acting job here in LA.’ he added, alongside a photo of himself posing with the cast of Attaway Hospital.
His longtime partner Michael Pell’s farewell party for his final day at Sunrise last April turned into an engagement celebration when Daniel proposed.

The executive producer’s beau popped the question in front of friends, family and co-workers.
‘Will you marry me?’ Daniel is heard saying into a microphone, his voice breaking, before Michael, 39, replied ‘Yes!’ and the pair embraced.
The engagement was witnessed by a whole host of his famous co-workers, including Sunrise and Weekend Sunrise stars David Koch, Edwina Bartholomew, Kylie Gillies and Matt Doran.
It was first revealed that Pell was dating his colleague Burgess-Wise in late 2020.
The couple are believed to have begun dating sometime after Daniel took over the role as a director on the program in 2018, following the retirement of Ken Moore.
Pell stepped down from Sunrise to take up a new position with the network in LA, where he is Seven’s ‘talent scout’ in the U.S. sourcing new formats.
His job title will be Senior Vice President, Entertainment Content, North America.
