Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright purchases eye-watering £30,000 pergola to add their stunning £3.5million Essex mansion

Michelle Keegan and Mark Wright made a costly new addition to their £3.5million Essex mansion, a £30,000 pergola.

The couple, both 37, often shares a look inside their lavish property on their Instagram home account.

They have been documenting their lengthy renovation journey of their lavish Essex mansion, starting in 2019 and wrapping up in August last year, when they celebrated with a swanky pool party.

But it seems the couple have a never-ending list of items they want to add to their property – regardless of the cost.

Michelle recently shared a section of their garden, showing off the huge luxury pergola which featured a bar, a kitchen, dining area and outdoor heating.

The outside snug was situated on tiled floor, included glass windows and even a pizza oven, which Michelle made use of.

Last week, Michelle unveiled a romantic tribute for Mark as she showed off another new interior addition.

The Fool Me Once sensation admitted she had ‘goosebumps’ just looking at the stunning piece crafted by artist David Howarth.

David’s artworks sells smaller pieces for £30 and larger artworks, like Michelle’s, for around £1,600.

The former Coronation Street star shared a snap of the white panel hung in the couple’s kitchen, reading: ‘There’s a place in my heart that will never belong to anyone but you…’

Paying a fond homage to the creator, Michelle captioned the artwork shot: ‘@davohowarth has done it again…honestly I get goosebumps every time I look at it.

‘A personal piece of art that I will cherish forever (just like the one he created in my hallway a few years ago)

‘So special.’

Michelle and Mark’s home was initially bought for £1.3 million and then fully revamped into their dream home.

In an interview with The Observer last year, Michelle said: ‘I was filming in Australia and hadn’t seen the house for months. And when I walked in, Mark had lit all the candles and… I couldn’t speak for five minutes.

‘He was like, ‘What do you think?’ I couldn’t find the words to say how I felt, because I was so overwhelmed. I just burst out crying. It still gets me emotional. Because we’ve worked really hard for it. We’ve had to make a lot of sacrifices.’

The jaw-dropping mansion featured five bedrooms, bar, cinema room, sauna, a custom-built kitchen, as well as an at-home gym, a five-a-side football pitch or the kitchen.

The happy couple have been together for well over a decade and married in a £1million ceremony in Suffolk in 2015.
