Michelle Keegan made ONE MINUTE cameo in Red Dwarf in 2009

She soared to fame during a six year span from 2008 to 2014 on the long-running soap Coronation Street, playing Tina McIntyre.

And in new footage unearthed exclusively by MailOnline, Michelle Keegan can be seen as a fresh-faced 21-year-old in the popular science fiction comedy, Red Dwarf.

The star, now 30, who is famed for her jaw-dropping beauty, proved to be casually clad for the one-minute cameo in her forgotten acting credential.

After making a name for herself on the Cobbles, Michelle went on to become a TV star in her own right – with acclaimed roles in the likes of mini-series Tina and Bobby and war drama, Our Girl.

But Michelle proved that everyone has to start somewhere as she booked a short cameo for the sitcom Red Dwarf back in 2009 – one year into her soap storyline.

In the newly discovered footage, Michelle – who is married to former TOWIE hunk Mark Wright, is seen working behind the counter of The Kabin newsagents.

Red Dwarf favourites, Rimmer, Kryten and The Cat, all come in asking for directions and ask her if she knows where ‘granny-grabbing philanderer Lloyd Mullaney’ is.

A far cry from her usually primped and preened look nowadays. Michelle can be sporting only a slither of make-up, with her brunette locks piled into a casual bun.

Dressed in a khaki-coloured shirt and striped monochrome scarf, the star replied: ‘I think he’s in the Rovers learning his lines. Is this some sort of joke?’

Fast forward nine years, Michelle is now a bonafide star and is now looking to settle down in California with husband Mark so he can be close to his work on US entertainment news show Extra.

According to the Daily Star, the loved-up couple had viewed several properties in the Hollywood Hills.

Sources told the publication the couple set a budget of around £2m and have spotted several houses they might be interested in – with a rule they must have at least three bedrooms for when they want to start a family.

The close proximity to Universal Studios where Mark works as a host for entertainment news show Extra is said to be a real plus for the couple.

Reality star Mark joined American actor Mario Lopez as a correspondent of the popular showbiz outlet Extra in August, while Michelle filmed season three of BBC drama Our Girl in South Africa, costing the couple much of 2017.

The Mark and Michelle love story began more than five years ago, when they first started dating in December 2012.

They were engaged in September 2013 and enjoyed almost a two-year period in pre-wedding bliss before they went onto tie the knot in May 2015.
