Michelle Obama enjoyed dinner with her daughters Malia and Sasha at the new Hollywood hot spot Mother Wolf on Thursday following their recent relocation to Los Angeles.
The former first lady, 58, and her children were seen surrounded by Secret Service agents as they discreetly exited a private room at acclaimed chef Evan Funke’s Roman-inspired restaurant, which is known for its handmade pastas, thin-crust pizzas, and other specialties.
Since the Italian eatery opened in January, it’s hosted a bevy of stars, including the Obamas’ friends Beyoncé and Jay Z, who ran into Sasha while dining there just a few weeks before.
Sasha, 20, and Malia, 23, both showed off their personal styles at the group dinner, with the former looking like the spitting image of their mom and the latter sporting a new hair color.

The Obamas’ eldest daughter wore her newly rust-colored micro-braids half up in a messy bun with two tendrils framing her face.
Malia was dressed in a cropped white cardigan and a matching cutaway tank, which she paired with faded black cropped jeans with a frayed hem. She topped off the casual yet cool look with black platform Chelsea boots and a white leather shoulder bag.
Her younger sister, meanwhile, sported a long light brown leather coat over a breezy white top and light bootcut jeans. She accessorized the ’70s-inspired outfit with a pair of stacked-heel sandals, a lime green bag, and plenty of jewelry.
Sasha’s dark hair was pulled half up like her sister’s, revealing her chunky hoop earrings. She carried her large handbag in the crook of her arm, and there appeared to be a small stuffed animal pig peeking out of one of the front zippered pockets.
The youngest Obama matched her mom, who was also wearing large hoop earrings and a dark jacket.

It’s unclear how long Mrs. Obama is staying in Los Angeles, but she is clearly making the most of her visit by treating her daughters to one of the city’s buzziest new restaurants.
Funke, a two-time James Beard-nominated chef, worked with Wolfgang Puck at the iconic Spago in Beverly Hills for six years before heading to Bologna, Italy, to apprentice with master pasta maker Alessandra Spisni.
Felix, his Italian restaurant in LA’s hip Venice neighborhood, opened in 2017 with great success and plenty of celebrity fans thanks to it’s beloved pasta dishes.

Mother Wolf, his latest venture, is an homage to Roman cuisine with dishes that are ‘loosely inspired by the region’s shepherds, artisans, and the legend of twin brothers Romulus and Remus, who were said to have been nursed by a wolf and grew to be founders of the Eternal City,’ according to The Los Angeles Times.
The 8,600 square-foot restaurant has a large open kitchen and is located on the ground floor of the historic Hollywood Citizen-News building that features an art deco-tiled exterior.
‘People say they don’t feel like they’re in Los Angeles,’ Funke told Variety of his new restaurant, which was described as being an ‘opulent and comfortable’ mix of old-world elements.
The menu rotates seasonally and features a melding of California produce and ingredients imported from Italy, such as the buffalo ricotta in the restaurant’s stuffed squash blossoms.
Variety called Funke’s $25 artichokes ‘alla Giudia’ a ‘must-order appetizer,’ while Time Out recommended the $24 bruschetta di porchetta and $28 rigatoni all’amatriciana.

Prices aren’t listed online as the seasonal menu is subject to change, but the pasta and pizza dishes range from about $25 to $36, according to a photo shared on the site ZMenu.
The most expensive items on the online menu listing are the $75 branzino for two and the $68 prime ribeye cap.
Per LA’s mandate, Mother Wolf requires proof of vaccination from all guests and a matching government ID, according to the restaurant’s website.
Sasha seems to be a fan of the restaurant, as she was seen picking up food there in late February, the same night Beyoncé and Jay Z were having a quiet dinner there.
The former first daughter apparently stopped to say hi to the power couple, who are believed to have enjoyed a $3,000 bottle that night.
