Michelle Obama models natural curls and a white dress for NYC luncheon

Michelle Obama was a vision in white while walking around New York City’s trendy Tribeca neighborhood on Thursday afternoon.

The 55-year-old former first lady beat the heat in a V-neck midi dress with cuffed sleeves and an empire waist. She paired her ethereal summer frock with brown leather wedges with cork heels that showed off her light blue toenail polish.

Michelle was surrounded by an entourage as she made her way into Robert De Niro’s Greenwich Hotel for a luncheon attended by Sarah Jessica Parker, Lily Aldridge, Georgia May Jagger, and Olivia Munn.

The mother-of-two embraced her natural curls and wore her highlighted brown hair down around her shoulders.

She shielded her eyes from the sun — and possibly onlookers’ stares — with a pair of tortoiseshell sunglasses.

Michelle carried a white handbag over her shoulder and held onto the strap, which had a navy blue and yellow scarf tied around it.

She flashed her diamond engagement ring and wedding band, the only jewelry that she appeared to be wearing at the time.

The best-selling author seems to be a fan of The Greenwich, as she was there along with a bevy of A-list celebrities in 2012 for a fundraiser for her husband Barack’s presidential re-election campaign.

Michelle looked to be in great spirits when she left the hotel with a smile on her face after the luncheon.

She seems to have a jam-packed schedule while visiting the Big Apple, and on Wednesday, she was spotted leaving Le Bernardin, an elite French restaurant in Midtown.

The always stylish fashion icon wore an ecru and black striped tank top tucked into a pair of slate gray satin pants.

She accessorized the look with strappy metallic gold and silver flats, a caged gold cuff, and dark sunglasses.

A white cardigan was slung over her arm, and she likely brought the cozy top into the restaurant in case she got cold.

Earlier this week, Michelle was in Washington, D.C. to attend the fifth annual ‘Beat the Odds’ Summit held at Howard University.

She spoke to about 100 first-generation college-bound students on Tuesday, continuing the tradition she started in the White House as part of her Reach Higher initiative, which encourages teens to complete their education past high school.

Michelle told the teens that they shouldn’t be intimidated by their classmates while reflecting on all of the powerful people she has met over the years.

‘You always think that somebody else knows more than you do. I’ve been at probably every powerful table there is to be at. I have been on boards with some of the top CEOs. I’ve had dinner with the frickin’ Queen! I’ve been to the summit of world leaders. … They’re not smarter than you,’ she said. ‘I’ve met these people.’

Michelle graduated from Princeton University in 1985 before earning a law degree from Harvard University, where she met her husband.

Her eldest daughter Malia followed in their footsteps and started her freshman year at the Ivy League university in 2017 after enjoying a gap year.

While she will be returning to her parents’ alma mater this fall, her younger sister Sasha, 18, is reportedly starting her freshman year of college at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

It was revealed last week that Michelle and Bill Gates were named the most admired man and woman in the world, according to a new poll.

She usurped Angelina Jolie to take the top spot on the list compiled by YouGov.

Billionaire tech mogul Bill Gates remained the world’s most popular male figure, having topped the list every time since the survey launched in 2015.

The list features 20 men and 20 women who were selected after 42,000 people were polled in 41 countries.

Falling closely behind Gates for ‘most admired man’ was Michelle’s husband Barack, the former president.
