For some, September 4th is just a regular day, but for millions around the world, it is a celebration of Beyoncé’s birthday.
The super star singer turned 36 years old on Monday and her family and close friends, including former first lady Michelle Obama, paid tribute to the mother-of-three in a rather fitting way by getting in formation.
Obama, tennis star Serena Williams, her mother Tina Knowles, her daughter Blue Ivy, her mother-in-law Gloria Carter along with former Destiny’s Child band mates Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland all joined together to recreate the singer’s now-iconic look from her ‘Formation’ music video.

The beloved women in her life all dressed in one of her most notable outfits – an off-the-shoulder black top, over-sized silver necklace and an extra-large brimmed black hat to obscure their eyes. They finished the look off by sporting two long black braids.
The poignant series of photos showing the important women in Beyonce’s life were published to her website along with the following message: ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY BEYONCÉ FROM YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS’.
The message on the site also urged everyone to support relief efforts in the singer’s hometown of Houston after it was left devastated when hurricane Harvey made landfall on August 25.

The doting husband took the opportunity to help Beyoncé ring in the occasion a day early during his headline gig at the Made In America Festival in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Sunday night.
Midway through his set, the rapper, 47, stopped the show and instructed the crowd to sing to his lady love, who was watching his performance from the side of the stage.
