Michelle Obama traded workout clothes for a chic suit as she went out to lunch in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

The former first lady looked perfectly chic for her business lunch as she dined at the Gjelina restaurant in Venice.

Michelle swapped out her usual jewel tones with a softer palate of pastels for the meeting.

She opted for light green wide-leg trousers and a suit jacket done in matching green and black stripes, topping the look off with a simple white shirt and sandals.

The former first lady also shielded her face with an oversized pair of pastel pink sunglasses and accessorized with a large pair of hoop earrings.

Michelle’s Secret Service motorcade was on hand during the meeting, holding the door open for her as she left the restaurant.

It remains unknown what exactly the meeting was about, although Michelle and Barack did recently enter a multi-year producing partnership with Netflix, which has an office in Los Angeles.

Michelle is also gearing up for the release of her memoir Becoming, which will hit bookshelves in November.

Just a day before her Venice meeting, Michelle bumped into Robert F Kennedy Jr while on a hike in the Santa Monica mountains.

‘I stumbled across this amazing lady hiking the Santa Monica mountains this morning,’ Kennedy wrote in the caption of their photo on Instagram.

The former first lady was sporting a black hat, a blue sweatshirt and black workout pants. She flashed a huge smile as Kennedy posed beside her for the photo.

Kennedy, 64, an environmental lawyer who is the third-eldest child of Robert and Ethel Kennedy’s 11 children, was sporting a black T-shirt and blue jeans.

Both Michelle and Kennedy have been busy in the past few days.

Kennedy recently called for a new probe into his father’s assassination.

And Michelle has been speaking out against the separation of immigrant families at the US-Mexico border.

All four living former first ladies joined Melania Trump in an unusual united political front to express their horror at children being separated from their parents at the border.

And Michelle shared an op-ed written by Laura Bush that criticized the Trump administration policy, writing: ‘Sometimes truth transcends party’.

Bush had tweeted earlier that day: ‘I live in a border state. I appreciate the need to enforce and protect our international boundaries, but this zero-tolerance policy is cruel. It is immoral. And it breaks my heart.’

Barack retweeted his wife’s sentiment on Monday, shedding light on the thousands of children ripped from their undocumented parents and detained in isolated centers.
