Michelle Williams is pregnant AND engaged to Hamilton director Thomas Kail… eight-months after split from husband Phil Elverum
Happy news for actress Michelle Williams.
The Montana native is pregnant and engaged to Hamilton director Thomas Kail, according to People, whose source added that Williams’ 14 year old daughter Matilada played the ‘matchmaker.’
The star’s baby news comes just eight months after her marriage to Mount Eerie musician Phil Elverum came to an end.

Williams and Kail were first spotted together in London, where Williams, 39, has been filming her superhero sequel Venom 2.
The actress was spotted buying maternity clothes at a maternity boutique named Seraphine’s in Kensington.
There is no indication how long the couple has been seeing each other for, but they worked together on the hit FX series Fosse/Verdon.

Williams starred as Gwen Verdon alongside Sam Rockwell’s Bob Fosse in FX’s Fosse/Verdon, which explored the dancer and choreographer’s creative and romantic partnership.
Kail co-created the series with Steven Levenson (Dear Evan Hansen), and most likely cast Williams in the series, which may be where they met.
Kail is best known for directing Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Broadway smash hit Hamilton, and his first musical, In the Heights, along with Fox’s 2016 event Grease: Live.

Williams was married briefly to musician Phil Elverum in July 2018, in a private ceremony held in the Adirondack Mountains.
The Hollywood Reporter revealed in April 2019 that the had split up close to the start of 2019.
While little was revealed about why they were going their separate ways, the split was said to be amicable.

Williams was previously in a long-term relationship with Heath Ledger, who she met in 2004 on the set of their movie Brokeback Mountain.
They started dating that year and Williams gave birth to their daughter Matilda in October 2005.
The couple split in late 2007, just months before Ledger was found dead at the age of 28, from a drug overdose.
