Michelle Williams puts her face to the PAVEMENT in NYC as she lays on the ground in kooky scene for new FX series Dying For Sex

Michelle Williams was seen laying on the pavement as she filmed her latest project, FX limited series Dying For Sex in New York City this week.

The 43-year-old Dawson’s Creek alum — who was also seen shooting last month — put her bare face to the sidewalk during one scene, demonstrating her commitment to her work.

Dressed in a long floral green, blue, and white skirt with a deep green fleece jacket, Michelle acted out a fall that placed her flesh on the concrete pavement.

She wore ruffled white socks with white Converse Chuck Taylor sneakers as she slipped into character.

Williams rocked a platinum blonde pixie haircut and toted a rolling red duffle bag as cameras rolled.

Based on the hit Wondery podcast of the same name, the miniseries tells the story of Molly (Williams), a woman diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer who leaves her husband of 15 years and begins to explore her sexuality, according to Deadline.

Molly is encouraged to make the life-altering change by her best friend Nikki Boyer, played by Jenny Slate.

‘She was healing wounds on her deathbed,’ Nikki told The New York Post in 2020. ‘Her lifelong dream was to write a book and be a published author. She waited until the last few months of her life to do it. She was thinking the clearest she ever had in her life.’

Directed by Leslye Headland with a script from Elizabeth Meriwether and Kim Rosenstock, the cast also includes Max Darwin, John-Deric Mitchell and Jenni Ruiza.

Meriwether and Rosenstock also serve as showrunners and executive producers with Headland, Katherine Pope, Boyer, plus Jen Sargent, Marshall Lewy, Aaron Hart and Hernan Lopez.

Production began years ago and picked up momentum last past spring before last year’s SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes put it on hold.

The series, which marks Michelle’s return to acting following a hiatus, is her first project since she shot The Fabelmans.

It also marks Williams’ return to FX, where she starred as Gwen Verdon in the limited series Fosse/Verdon (2019).

The role earned her an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie.

Williams took time off from acting in 2012 to raise daughter Matilda, now 18, whom she shared with late partner Heath Ledger.

In addition to her firstborn, she now has two young kids with husband and theater director Thomas Kail.

They share three-year-old son Hart and a second child whose name they have yet to reveal.
