Michigan teen fills mouth with weed and driver is arrested

  • Police pulled the driver, 17, over on Sunday after being alerted that there were two people smoking marijuana in a car on I-94 in Van Buren County, Michigan 
  • When the deputy approached the vehicle, he discovered the front seat passenger, an 18-year-old woman from Lawrence, Michigan, had been eating 
  • Upon further inspection, the passenger opened her mouth and chewed marijuana fell out 
  • While they were making the arrest of the driver, another rear-ended a vehicle in front of him when he weren’t paying attention
  • Police took the driver to Van Buren County Jail for operating under the influence of drug
  • The passenger was cited for possession and released

Police pulled the driver, 17, over on Sunday after being alerted that there were two people smoking marijuana in a car on I-94 in Van Buren County, Michigan

A 17-year-old was arrested during a traffic when an officer found him under the influence of drugs.

Police pulled the driver over on Sunday after being alerted that there were two people smoking marijuana in a car on I-94 in Van Buren County, Michigan. 

When the deputy approached the vehicle, he discovered the front seat passenger, an 18-year-old woman from Lawrence, Michigan, had been eating something. 

Upon further inspection, the passenger opened her mouth and chewed marijuana fell out.

The driver, from Watervliet, Michigan, was questioned about whether he used and the boy admitted that he was under the influence of marijuana.

Authorities said that while they were making the arrest of the driver for operating under the influence of drugs, another driver rear-ended a vehicle in front of him when he weren’t paying attention.

The 40-year-old man was cited for failing to yield and then taken to Bronson Lakeview to treat his injuries.

A Hartford family had been in the vehicle that was rear ended but they were all treated at the scene and released.

The passenger was cited for possession and released.
