This teenager has perfected the art of catching fruit whenever it is thrown at him – by grabbing it in his mouth.

Daniel Hartman, from Michigan, filmed himself pulling off the impressive trick eight times in different locations including a gym, a library and a living room.

Although Daniel catches apples from impressive distances he insists the bizarre hobby ‘only hurts if you miss’.

The champion catcher relies on his friend, soccer team goalkeeper Casey Kirkbride, to throw the apples.

On his Twitter biography Daniel jokes: ‘I am not accountable for anyone’s apple-related injuries.’

He posted a video of his apple catching antics with the caption, ‘It’s apple season boys!’

Lots of people were impressed by his prowess, with one tweeting: ‘Ok I tried this and it’s impossible like how.’ Another wrote: ‘His teeth are so strong.’

Others were more skeptical, with ‘Brooke’ writing: ‘How many teeth has he chipped and how many bloody noses and black eyes has he gotten in the unseen footage?’
