Mick Molloy reveals his house was almost cleaned out in a robbery – except for the one surprising item the burglars didn’t take

Mick Molloy shocked his listeners on Wednesday by revealing his house was once cleaned out in a robbery – except for one surprising item the burglars didn’t take.

The Triple M radio host, 57, told listeners on his breakfast show Mick & MG In The Morning the thieves did not appear to be fans of his 2002 comedy film Crackerjack.

‘My house got robbed, they stole everything of value. All my DVD’s and CD’s… except Crackerjack, which they left on the coffee table,’ he said.

Molloy made his feature film acting debut in the comedy Crackerjack, which focused on his character fighting to save his lawn bowls club from closure.

The film was a huge box office success in the country, being the highest grossing Australian movie of the year – and it also boasts a whopping 100% approval rate on Rotten Tomatoes.

Mick was confused as to why the thieves did not steal his hit movie: ‘When the cops came round that is all I was complaining about, why would they leave it?’

The veteran presenter has developed a reputation for openly talking about his personal life and in 2020 revealed he’s single and quietly hoping for a woman to slide into his DMs.

The former Channel Nine star, who is the proud father of twins boys Fred and Lenny, 11, claimed he ‘hadn’t completely given up’ on finding the one, telling the Herald Sun: ‘Ladies, if there’s any degree of interest out there at all, I’m on Insta.’

When asked if he’s ever tried dating apps, he added: ‘You can’t do it because you look like an idiot. There’s no point, but that’s the way these days.’

He added: ‘I’ve been really lucky in my life to have some great significant relationships and now is not that time, and I’m comfortable with that.’

Throughout his life, Mick has enjoyed a number of romances.

'My house got robbed, they stole everything of value. All my DVD's and CD's... except Crackerjack, which they left on the coffee table,' Mick said

In the early 90s, he dated actress Sophie Lee for around six years.

In 2012, Mick welcomed his twins with partner Angie, but kept her identity private as she was not in the media – It’s not known precisely how or when they broke up.

In March 2017, Mick began dating Real Housewives Of Melbourne star Susie McLean – however, the pair’s romance ended in September the same year.

She had previously gushed over their relationship, telling The Herald Sun at the time that he was ‘the most brilliant man’ she’d ever met.
