Mickey Rourke, 71, is country cool as he rocks a straw cowboy hat and plants a kiss on longtime pal’s cheek after lunch in Beverly Hills

Mickey Rourke put on an affectionate display while stepping out with longtime friend and hairdresser Giuseppe Franco in Beverly Hills on Tuesday.

The 71-year-old performer planted a kiss on his acquaintance’s cheek after leaving an Italian cafe together.

The Academy Award-nominated actor — who recently shared his very strong opinions regarding Alec Baldwin’s culpability in the Rust shooting — stood out while wearing a checkered trench coat on top of a low-cut t-shirt.

Rourke also wore a pair of slightly oversized and distressed dark blue jeans, which were contrasted with bright white sneakers.

The star of The Wrestler completed his look for the day with a light beige straw cowboy hat.

The performer’s outing took place just two weeks after it was announced that he would be starring in the upcoming action-thriller feature Bring The Law.

According to Deadline, Rourke will be included in a cast that features the likes of Peter Facinelli and Nicky Whelan.

Bring The Law will be centered on an emotionally devastated homicide detective who begins to unravel a conspiracy centered on corruption in Los Angeles.

The feature, which was written by Josh Ridgway, will also mark the directorial debut of Scout Taylor Compton.

The project’s production company, Hillin Entertainment, released a statement to speak about the Halloween actress’ directing abilities.

It partially read: ‘Scout’s remarkable talent and prowess as a director are undeniable. This project marks just the beginning of our fruitful collaborations.’

It was also expressed that the start of production on the film marked Compton’s ‘moment to step into the director’s chair.’

Production on Bring The Law wrapped earlier this month, and it currently does not have a scheduled premiere date.
